Our Director

Les Zenack
Les Zenack, B.S., M.S.
Massachusetts Educator’s
License No. 381497

For more than twenty years, Mr. Zenack’s professional career was in environmental engineering and consulting. During that time, he regularly used scientific principles and mathematical tools he had learned from his undergraduate and graduate level studies in the sciences. Over those years, it seemed quite natural that he should use that knowledge to help his three children with their schoolwork.

With some success with his own children, Mr. Zenack began to tutor middle school and high school students referred to him by the school system and, later, by former students. He achieved success with his students by teaching the “why” of a mathematical operation so that the “how” easily would follow. That is, Mr. Zenack helped his students to develop a genuine, fundamental understanding of basic principles and not just memorize a “cookbook” formula.

Mr. Zenack’s success in tutoring motivated him to become a Massachusetts-licensed teacher of secondary level mathematics in 2002. He then served as a 6th grade mathematics teacher for the Town of Millis. He also was an 8th grade mathematics teacher for the Town of Mansfield.

In 2004, Mr. Zenack began working as an Adjunct Professor of Mathematics at Massachusetts Bay Community College, and he founded THE LINK Home Tutoring and became its Director. He continues to hold both positions today.

As Director of THE LINK Home Tutoring for five years, Mr. Zenack has matched Tutors with students from Hyde Park to Attleboro in all academic areas and grade levels from first grade to college level. His talent in finding great Tutors and matching them to students’ academic needs is reflected in the testimonials that can be found in the Referrals link.
